Asé...I am Dr. LeKisha Mixon, a licensed Clinical and Forensic Psychologist. My values are in multi cultural responsiveness in evaluation and treatment.

My process focuses on de-pathologizing the BIPOC, Queer, or Neurodivergent experiences by offering affirming practice with consideration of decolonization and intersectionality. My expertise is in offering anti-oppressive, depth-oriented therapy that is sex positive, poly and kink aware.

My therapeutic foci are co-occurring disorders, trauma, problematic sexual behavior, substance abuse, ADHD/Autism, identity, and with survivors or perpetrators of violence.

I enjoy collaborating in a therapeutic environment in service of your personal goals. We will look at aspects of yourself that are no longer serving life fulfillment and work to expand you into aspects of yourself that are strengths.

We collaborate to establish therapeutic alliance and healing foci that lead to symptom relief. I utilize evidence based strategies that can ensure long term

growth such as narrative identification, cognitive restructuring, mindfulness, behavioral experiments, and socratic dialogue.Together, we’ll create more flexible perspectives, strengthen self-compassion, and develop new ways of experiencing your life.

Clinical Approach
Integrative, incorporating eastern and western theories and interventions. I may utilize CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic, Black Psychology, Mindfulness/Meditation, and Breath work.
